Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the Congress website via the on-line abstract submission system. Please, do not submit multiple copies of the same Abstract.  Abstracts sent by e-mail, mail or fax will not be accepted. In case of problems, please contact the Organizing Secretariat.

Please, be aware that at least one author of the group must be pre-registered to the Congress and must indicate in the requested field the ID number of the registration.  Participants will receive their ID number after registering through the online registration form.

In case you prefer to send the registration form via fax, you will receive the ID number via e-mail from the Organizing Secretariat.

Abstracts may contain data previously presented or published. The responsibility for the Abstract contents is solely of the author(s). The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the contents of the Abstract before submission. Notification of abstract acceptance will be sent to the submitting author via e-mail by August 15, 2010.

Changes will not be permitted after the abstract submission deadline, July 30, 2010.

 

TRAVEL GRANTS
As in previous GRS and IGF Congresses, the GRS has made available a certain number of travel grants for young investigators.

Grants are as follows:

$ 1000.00 USD for Australasian young investigators
$ 750.00 USD for European young investigators
$ 500.00 USD for U.S. young investigators

Young investigators can request travel grants when submitting the abstract.

The request will be discussed by the Scientific Committee and its acceptance will be communicated via e-mail.


ABSTRACT GENERAL GUIDELINES
Enter the online abstract submission form and fill all the required fields.

Abstracts must be written in English.

Please indicate the preferred Topic of your presentation from the list provided.

You can choose how to present your abstract (Poster or Oral Presentation).

Be aware that the Scientific Committee can change Oral Presentations into Posters.

 

Abstract Text Instructions

  1. The official language is English.
  2. The abstract text should not contain references.  If you are including a figure, please include it as an image (see item 6 below).
  3. Accepted abstracts will be published and distributed at the congress.
  4. Maximum length of abstract title should not exceed 200 characters.  This limit does not include spaces.
  5. Maximum total length of the abstract body, title, names of authors, and affiliations (including city and state in which the affiliation is based) should not exceed 550 words.
  6. One table/image can be included. When preparing the table/image, remember that it will be displayed in the printed abstract book in black and white.  It should be in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format. Your allowed word count will not be decreased by the inclusion of a table/image.  However, your table/image will automatically decrease in size if you are near your word count limit.  You will be able to see how your image appears in print.  If your table or image is too small for your liking, please adjust the total number of words in your title/authors/abstracts to allow the image size to increase automatically.
  7. Number of institutions should be no more than 11.
  8. Number of co-authors should be no more than 20.
